    The Egyptians were obsessed with death. The art and writing is to represent or pay homage to a ruler or an important person. The Egyptians were probably the art by the fact that art.
    The pyramids were tombs
    Hieroglyphs were the stories of people and their lives. Nothing would be written by a king, until he died.
    Statues of the gods worshiped.

    As you can see, art and religion were the same for the Egyptians.
